Timiș: the first Long distance stage won authoritatively by Team Tănase + Rusu

Jihlava (Czech Republic) was the launching place for the first long distance competition this year organized in the Timiș Pigeon Association. The stage took place on June 24 and enjoyed a great competition. `Being a competition organized only in Timiș County, however, 3,531 pigeons were engaged, with 92 pigeon fanciers participating. Team Tănase + Rusu authoritatively won the competition, occupying the first four places on the launch. In breeders competition, the first place was won by the team Hanciu & Olar.

The classic long distance race from Jihlava organized by most pigeon associations in the West had for fanciers in Timiș distances between 540 and 620 km. Launched at 06:23, the first pigeons began to arrive around 1 pm, after more than six hours of flight.

Team Tănase + Rusu, the first important result of this season

For the team formed by fanciers Constantin Tănase, Alin-Doru Tănase (son) and Raimond Rusu, the Jihlava race brought the first truly remarkable result of the current season. They managed to rank on the first four positions of the launch ranking, with four hens competing in widowhood. The first of them, RO-19-0380253, arrived at the loft at 12:49:03 and won the stage (585 km) with an average speed of 1,517 m / min. “I compete with my son, Alin-Doru, and a very good friend, Raimond Rusu. For us, the current season has started a little harder. We did not manage to prepare the pigeons as we wanted before the first stage, so we only competed with them from the second one. We didn’t hire in the third stage either, because we preferred to let them stay home and recover very well. We participated in the fourth stage, after which we skipped, again, over a short stage and then we hired them to this long distance race, for which they were very well prepared. We compete in widowhood, without the pigeons being left together before basketing. They can only see each other after the trainings we do between races, about 40 km ones. We release the cocks first and then the hens. This is also the reason why I think the hens performed very well, apart from the fact that they were very well prepared for this race. The hen who won the first place is related to my 2017 national champion, a hen who won four national trophies. It comes from a sister of this haierd, paired with a Dutch cock”, said Constantin Tănase.

In fanciers competition, the first place was won by Hanciu & Olar, a title used by Florin Hanciu, from Chișoda, to honor the memory of his good friend, Bogdan Olar. Of the 64 pigeons engaged in this stage by Florin Hanciu, 28 ranked, and the first team pigeons ranked 14th and 29th per launch. The coefficient achieved by the team pigeons was 12.26 penalty points, enough for Florin Hanciu to win the first place in the fanciers’ ranking.
