Romania: National Record: Liviu Vieru and the phenomenon 1007132/2019 wins the third race in a row

All pigeon fanciers know that one of the great qualities of a valuable racing pigeon is consistency, but what Liviu Vieru and his cock 1007132/2019 succeed in is difficult to fit into any patterns.

This cock, 1007132/2019, competed by Liviu Vieru from Caracal, Olt, thanks to a compendium of factors, which cannot miss the motivation, training and quality, managed, until last week, to win in two consecutive races the first place on the launch. On Saturday, the Olt Pigeon Association organized the fourth stage of the season, launching from Dimitrie Cantemir (approximately distance of 400 km), a competition in which 365 pigeon fanciers participated and 13,117 pigeons were engaged. Again, amazingly, the first place on the launch was won by the same pigeon of Liviu Vieru, who thus establishes an unprecedented performance in the Romanian pigeon fancier and not only. At least in the recent history of Romanian pigeon fancier, there was no pigeon to win three consecutive races, out of such a consistent number, as were the three competitions in Olt that this pigeon won.

In terms of origins, the cock is an original Frederick Philippe pigeon and is not the only super class exponent of his family. A half-sister of his father is the county champion in the Allround Palmares category and the 11th National place. A half-brother of his, having the same father, reproduced the 1st place provincial Gold Club 2017, and a sister of the cock’s mother reproduced the 6th place National Ace National 2020, to which are added other very good flyers.
