As for the previous years, Prahova Pigeon Association had a fulminant start of this year’s season. The first stage of the current competitional year took place today, May 24, with the participation of almost 25,000 pigeons and 695 fanciers.

The first competition of the 2020 season was one of great proportions for the Prahova Pigeon Association, as it suits the largest pigeon association in the country. Approximately 25,000 pigeons were basketed for the first competition, and no less than 695 fanciers participated, with distances between 120 and 150 km. Considering the ranking of live arrivals, in which Cosmin Olteanu occupies the 1st and 2nd places, the contest was a very successful one. The speed of the first pigeons was almost 1,500 m / min, which betrays a classic speed competition. “Today we had the first stage of the 2020 season, a competition for which 24,875 pigeons were basketed, and the participating fanciers were 695. The competition was a very successful one, with high speeds for the first pigeons to arrive and insignificant losses. If the weather allows, the next race will take place on Wednesday “, said Florin Bilan, president of the Prahova Pigeon Association.
