Allround Young birds, the national awards won by Daniel Pîslă and Andrei Malinovschi

Unlike old birds and yearlings, for youngsters, the norm of the Allround category is made only from five competitions, but respecting the same distance criteria: 1-3 stages of Short distance or Middle distance, 1-3 stages of Middle distance or or Middle distance – Long distance, and 1-3 races with a distance of more than 475 km. Although it seems quite difficult for the youngsters of only a few months to rank such competitions, the 2020 season was a successful one from this point of view. At the end of the national championship with chickens, 1,110 norms for this category were achieved, which is not a negligible figure at all.

The national competition for the first places of the national ranking in the Allround Young birds category was consumed, last season, between two pigeon fanciers. These are Daniel Pîslă, from the Caraş Severin Association, and Andrei Malinovschi, from the Suceava Association. The first occupies the 1st and 3rd National places, while the young pigeon fancier from Suceava Andrei Malinovschi is the national vice-champion. But that’s not all. The same two pigeons that occupy the 1st and 2nd National places in this category are on the national podium and in the Middle distance Young birds, but this time they exchange places. Andrei Malinovschi’s young hen takes the first position, and the pigeon competed by Daniel Pîslă drops to the second position.

Daniel Pîslă (CS) wins four national trophies with Young birds in the 2020 season

After a perfect performance during last year’s Young birds season, Daniel Pîslă, from Reșița, wins no less than four national trophies. Three of them were won by the young hen 2015775/2020, the national champion of the Allround Young birds (24.46 penalty points) and Long distance Young birds (11.05 penalty points) categories, while in the Middle distance category it ranks 2nd National (15 , 83 penalty points). The norm and the very good score from the Allround Young birds category, which we are dealing with today, were achieved after the hen ranked 5 / 2,660 pigeons (538 km), 4 / 1,297 pigeons (598 km), 15 / 3,141 pigeons ( 329 km), 11 / 1,726 pigeons (627 km) and 10 / 1,159 pigeons (199 km). All season, Daniel Pîslă’s young champion ranked nine races. “The champion is a hen, related to the 2017 pigeon, which won five national cups and the hen who last year was national champion at the National Ace Palmares. Her parents are brought through my friend Constantin Fulger, pigeons with mostly Koopman origins, from Marc Brett. It is reproduced in the first series of chicks, having a sister who also competed very well. The young birds were competed naturally, without darkness or other methods, because for me continuity is important and I believe that such procedures affect in the future. All the birds participated to the first long distance race, those who managed to rank it also went to the second and, of course, those who also qualified the second stage of the long distance, went to the third. So was the case with this hen. To feed the young birds in season, I use light, pea-free food from different producers. It doesn’t matter the company. It is important to have a good mixture and not to have peas. Even in the long distance stages, my pigeons did not receive a mixture with peas. I have to say that I don’t have a specific training program either. It depends on the pigeons. If it was a difficult stage, I don’t do any training between competitions. This year, almost all the stages with the young birds were difficult, and the three long distance ones were windy. It was very difficult, especially, the third one, at which the pigeons were launched at 10:35, due to the fog, and only one pigeon from the competition arrived home on the first day “, explained Daniel Pîslă. Daniel Pîslă also ranks 3rd National Allround Young birds, this time with 0133311/2020, which accumulated a total penalty, in the five competitions, of 27.34 points. The rankings of this equally valuable chick are as follows: place 3 / 3,370 pigeons (199 km), place 1 / 1,073 pigeons (329 km), place 4 / 2,660 pigeons (538 km), place 9 / 2,873 pigeons (199 km) and place 110 / 5,265 pigeons (138 km). It should be noted that out of the total score of 27.34 points, 20.89 were obtained in only one stage.

Andrei Malinovschi (SV), national vice-champion

The 2020 season, in which Andrei Malinovschi from Suceava and the pigeon fancier competition intersected for the first time, will be an unforgettable one for the young pigeon fancier from the North of Moldova. Thanks to the hen “Rossa”, 0921417/2020, Andrei Malinovschi climbed the national podium since his debut and not just once. “Rossa” won the 2nd place National Allround Young birds, at a very small difference from the champion of Daniel Pîslă, only 0.36 points, but also the 1st place National Middle distance Young birds. “The hen is a gift from Mihai Bizubac, whom I and my mentor Daniel Sabău would like to thank. I had the opportunity to choose from over 20 young birds, and I chose her. I had a batch of 44 pigeons. I competed with 10 of them in the natural, and the rest, including this hen, I competed using the darkening method. I started to keep them in the dark a little later, because I wasn’t determined, so only two weeks after the separation, the young birds started the program. The time interval in the dark was 16: 00-08: 00, starting in March, up to three weeks before the first stage. I used food from Versele Laga, Gerry, Black Label and Energy mixes, and for recovery I used protein, which I put on food. I want to mention that all four stages were middle distance ones, two of 335 and two of 558, were very difficult. At the last stage, the decisive one, the hen arrived in the evening, at 19:19, when we were no longer hoping. As for the results, I can say that they are a dream that has become a reality “, said Andrei Malinovshi. The rankings with which Andrei Malinovschi’s hen managed to be on the national podium and at Allround Young birds were on the places 1 / 2,037 pigeons (558 km), 7 / 7,356 pigeons (335 km), 4 / 1,448 pigeons (335 km), 5 /1,123 pigeons (558 km) and 65 / 4,021 pigeons (153 km).
