Among the categories of the national championship organized by the National Federation of Pigeon Fanciers in Romania (F.N.C.P.R.), Speed ace National involves the largest number of ranked stages. To achieve this category, pigeons, whether old birds, yearlings or youngsters, must rank ten races, whose distance must be between 95 and 630 km. This means that stages in the Short distance, Middle distance and Long distance categories can be centralized. At the end of the 2020 season, according to the mentioned criteria, 644 yearlings achieved the Speed ace Yearlings norm.
As it happened many times during the 2020 championship, in the Speed ace Yearlings category we also have a national podium occupied by pigeons that also performed, in the same season, in other categories. The first and third place are occupied by the team Șițoiu + Tudoran, from the Vâlcea Association, with the pigeons 0240919/2019 and 1006615/2019, a hen and a cock, and the second place is occupied by the tandem Robaș + Bucaciuc, from Maramureș, which wins this trophy with the help of the hen 0810070/2019. Because we said that on the national podium of this category are pigeons that have won other national trophies, we remind you that the hen of team Șițoiu + Tudoran, the national champion of this category, ranks 2nd National in the categories Short distance yearlinds and Category G, Yearlings, and the hen of the team Robaș + Bucaciuc occupies the 2nd National place and in the Allround yearlings category.
Șițoiu + Tudoran (VL) team, two trophies with one shot!
For the team Șițoiu + Tudoran, this category is among the favorites. Far exceeding their expectations, the 2020 season brought the two pigeon fanciers two national trophies in this category, then their hen 0240919/2019 won the 1st National place, with a coefficient of 160.90 penalty points, and the cock 1006615 / 2019 occupies the 3rd National place, with 178.19 penalty points. The best of the 10 races ranked for this category by the two pigeons of the team was the Dunavăț stage (389 km), from June 13, 2020, a competition in which they occupied the 1st and 2nd places on the launch, out of a total of 12,068 pigeons. “The whole flight team competed in widowhood, a method they switched to after hatching for ten days, but without reproducing before the season. During the season we used three types of food, from Vanrobaeys. After the race, the pigeons received a diet food, then they were fed the „29” mixture from Vanrobaeys, and at the end of the week they received the Top Energy mixture. In addition to training around the loft, once or twice a week we took them to about 40 km distance. The hen who won national title comes from Cătălin Ariciu and has in her origins the Drapa pigeons, Gunter Prange and Van Dyck. At first I didn’t pay much attention to her, but then, when I noticed that she was performing very well, I let her cock remain home, with the help of which I motivated her. I did the same with the cock. After the first races, I stopped the hen at home to motivate him. As origins, he is the grandson of a hen with very good results at UCPR, competed by Catani Udrea, and his mother is a hen of Kallmeyer H&A “, said Cosmin Tudoran.
A new national trophy for the team Robaș + Bucaciuc (MM)
After the trophy won in the Allround Yearlings category, the hen 0810070/2019 of the Robaș + Bucaciu team obtained a national award in the Speed ace Yarlings category, where she is also runner-up, with 162.16 penalty points. Very close to the podium, he also ranked in the G-Yearlings Olympic category, where they missed the 3rd National place for only 0,19 points, and in the Short distance Yearlings category he occupies the 5th National place. His best ranking in the 2020 season was the 1st place on the launch at the Budapest competition (340 km), out of a competition of 3,385 pigeons. “The hen is the niece of” Mr. Fantastic”s brother, Daniel’s cock who won the 1st place KBDB Long distance in 2017, and cousin with the hen who last year was the 1st National place at Allround yearlings. As a method of flight we use total widowhood and compete with both cocks and hens. In terms of training, we went on the same methods as before, with intense training around the loft. Time does not allow us to take them to many trainings by car, but we managed to take them, between stages, to two 45 km trainings, from which the pigeons were launched together. For feeding, we used the Vandenabeele and Sport Light mixes from Beyers, but also Gerry, from Versele Laga ”, said Gabriel Robaș.
