The Gold Club exceeded, in the 2022 season, any expectations regarding the interest in the competition and the number of rings ordered by fanciers from all areas of the country, with over 37,000 pigeons being entered in the race for the substantial prizes up for grabs. An extraordinary competition, where all registered pigeon fanciers throw “into battle” the best products they own from the established lines for the Long Distance and Marathon stages, so that, at the end, those pigeons who show great intelligence stand out , ambition, will, motivation and strength.

After the end of the 2022 season and the appearance of the centralizations, we notice that the 1st national place Gold Club 2022 was won, with a total of 5.71 points, by the hen with the series 2023649-2021, which belongs to Cosmin Olteanu, from Urlați, Prahova county. At the same time, within the Gold Club, the hen also takes 1st place in the Muntenia Province, and in the national championship she achieved an exceptional performance, becoming the national champion of the Long distance Yearlings. “The Cosmin Olteanu loft has produced several pigeons capable of such pleasant surprises over the years. We will not list them now because today we are talking about the present, namely about the phenomenal «Winner Gold». He achieved the feat of bringing us, in 2022, two national champion titles, one in the Gold Club, the other in the Long distance Yearlings category. In her origins, her father is a good brother to «484», Olympic hen in the category Middle distance Old birds, and her mother is a 100% Marcel Wouters bird. Even though this season our Long Distance races took a different route, it seems that the pigeons with extraordinary abilities manage to cope with these challenges brilliantly. As a game method, the hen was prepared for widowhood, and her pair was kept home in order to motivate her. From the first three stages of Long distance races, the hen completed her norm in this category, a norm that propelled her into the national charts. As food for the pigeons I used Animi’s assortments, from Istvan Bartoș, and as conditioning products I used only the strictly necessary for the recovery of the pigeons after the stages. We don’t really intervene with treatments during the season, but only when the situation requires it. “Winner Gold” will no longer compete in the future, but will strengthen our breeding compartments. In the flying compartments we need such young pigeons capable of excelling in top national results. We have bought Gold rings since the first edition and we will buy them every year from now on”, said Ciprian Mălescu, manager of the Cosmin Olteanu loft.
Even though it is the first time they win a national award at Gold Club, Ciprian Mălescu emphasizes the fact that, every year, they have purchased these special rings for this competition. He emphasizes that they made the decision to participate in the Gold Club because they believe that regulation, fairness and transparency are the attributes that characterize this special championship: “On average, we buy 100 Gold rings every season, this being the first year we are in on the national podium of the competition. The idea of establishing this competition was a very good one, very transparent, with a regulation that seeks to be fair to everyone, and we recommend all pigeon fanciers to participate”.
