Team Nica Gabriel & Haiducu Robert (Olt) wins the 1st place
Thanks to the hen RO-18-0543334, the team formed by the pigeon fanciers Gabriel Nica and Robert Haiducu have a richer record with three 1st place National Cups. The trophy at Allround Old birds was won with an almost perfect course in the six stages required to meet the norm, competitions after which their hen ranked over 3,000 km and accumulated 8.55 penalty points. Of the six stages she qualified for the Allround category, three are 672 km, rankings through which the hen won the national champion title for Long distance category, completed by two Middle distance races, and one from Short distance. In total, his rankings are as follows: 1 / 3,564 pigeons (672 km), 1 / 1,843 pigeons (369 km), 3 / 2,512 pigeons (224 km), 3 / 1,964 pigeons (672 km), 10 / 4,905 pigeons (672 km) and 16 / 5,384 pigeons (410 km). “Our champion is reproduced from a cock by A.P. Overwater, and her mother is a hen Houben and Philippe Frederick. She competed in widowhood all season and I can’t say that she had a special training, only that, after the third stage, I stopped her cock at home. For their diet I used several racing mixtures from Beyers, and supplements I used from Schroeder and Tollisan. I did a lot of training with my personal car during the season, the pigeons being taken almost daily to over 30 km of air. The cocks were launched first, and the hens after them, the day before basketing being the last time they were allowed to see each other”, mentioned Gabriel Nica.
Marius Floștoiu (PH), national vice-champion Allround Old birds 2020
Among the six national trophies won by the cock RO-18-2085284, competed by Marius Floștoiu from Prahova, is the 2nd place in the National Allround old birds. The title of national vice-champion of this category was won with 11.07 penalty points, coefficient resulting from the cumulation of the following rankings: place 1/682 pigeons (384 km), place 1/547 pigeons (384 km), place 1/474 pigeons (384 km), place 2 / 12,427 pigeons (142 km), place 8 / 3,689 pigeons (492 km) and place 3/900 pigeons (384 km). “The cock is a cross of several lines of pigeons for short stages, his father being a Louis van Loon pigeon. I competed with him in widowhood, and to motivate him I tried several options. It came best when I left him in the breeding box, where he also had the nest, before the stage or when I put another cock and his hen in his box. I tried in two stages to leave him with the hen before basketing, but he failed in those ones and I gave up this method. Out of the 12 stages he competed in, he was the first to arrive home at eight of them. During the season, I used food from Versele Laga and Beyers and I trained them two or three times a week from about 90 km ”, said Marius Floștoiu.
Vali Tudor (VL), on the national podium, 3rd position
For pigeon fancier Vali Tudor, 2020 was a season with many national trophies. In time, I built a family, the pigeons that this year brought me no less than 10 national trophies being almost all related to each other. The cock 9003337/2018, which won this season the 3rd place National Allround, the 2nd place National Allround Palmares and the 3rd place National Category H, is reproduced from the hen 293974/2015, which, at the same time is the grandmother of Olympic Gold Champion, put paired with a Peter Janssen cock”, explained Vali Tudor.
