Allround Yearlings category, three hens on the national podium

On the national podium of this category, after the 2020 season, we have only hens. In total, over 5,000 norms were achieved in this category, and the top is opened by Cătălin Bucur from Prahova, who won the 1st National place with a coefficient of 22.13 penalty points. It is followed by the tandem Robaș + Bucaciuc, from Maramureș, with 24.46 points, and Team F.P.G., from the Constanța Association, is positioned on the last step of the podium, with a coefficient of 27.26 penalty points.

The hen who brought Cătălin Bucur the first title of national champion has the series 0866157/2019. She managed to rank a total of 1,980 km, having, among the six centralized stages for the norm, two places of 1 at center level. And the national vice-champion, competed by the tandem Robaș + Bucaciuc, formed by Gabriel Robaș and the well-known Romanian pigeon fancier established in Belgium Daniel Bucaciuc, has two fists places, of which one on the entire launch. The hen has the series 0810070/2019 and ranked in total, in this category, 1,922 km. The occupant of the last place of the national podium, the hen competed by Team F.P.G., has the series 0167843/2019. Among the stages he ranked for the norm at the Allround, we find two races of 748 km. In fact, this hen has the most km ranked compared to the other two hens on the national podium, no less than 2,724.

Cătălin Bucur (PH), national champion “by mail”

For pigeon fanciers who are far from their birds, Cătălin Bucur is one of the best examples of motivation and perseverance. Although he rarely sees his pigeons and is forced to follow them only through video cameras mounted in the loft, Cătălin managed to win the trophy of national champion of Allround Yearlings. This performance became possible only with the help of his mother, who takes care of the pigeons, but also due to the quality of the hen 0866157/2019, who competed very well all season. The young hen was able to rank stages from 149 km to 499 km, occupying, in the six centralized competitions for the norm in Allround, the following places: 1 / 1,330 pigeons (212 km), 3 / 3,689 pigeons (499 km), 1/645 pigeons (391 km), 2/948 pigeons (335 km), 66 / 9,589 pigeons (391 km) and 105 / 10,473 pigeons (149 km). “I have been in Germany for a very long time and, although I had pigeons for a long time, I had given up. In 2014 I built a loft again, and the pigeons remained in my mother’s care. She does everything that is needed to take care of them, and also trainings during the season, from training around the farm, to feeding, treatments and what they need to compete. We talk a lot on the phone, I tell her what to do with the pigeons that day and so we manage to make important results. I also set up some video cameras in the loft, to watch them, but especially to see them when they arrive home from the races. We only participate in the one-day stages, and the main lines in the farm are Heremans, Vandenabeele, Koopman, van den Bulck and Patrick Boeckx. By 2020 we had about 90 pigeons in the flight group. They were mated, I let them lay eggs and hatch for about 10 days, after which I separated them for three weeks. They were paired again, they laid eggs and I let them hatch for a few days, after which I separated them permanently. This happened about 12-14 days before the first stage. I used Bayers food, Vandenabeele, Sport Energy, Prange and Brilliant blends. Depending on the stage, the pigeons received 30 g of food, made from these mixtures, per day. As supplements I used Rohnfried products and some from Dr. Brockamp. The day before basketing, the pigeons were taken to a 40 km training session. The hens were released first, they met at home and could stay together for an hour, maximum two hours, but they could not see each other before basketing. The champion is reproduced from a double grandson of Georg Fatah’s pigeon Josef, and her mother is reproduced from me, from a consanguineous nephew of Olympics 003, Leo Heremans’ pigeon, and a hen Wolfgang Rupprecht, Sagan’s niece, pigeon that won the 1st place National KBDB in 2013. She has two very good rankings, 12 National Short distance Yearlings and 8 National Category G, and for her performances I called her “Elena”, the mother’s name “, explained Cătălin Bucur.

The Robaș + Bucaciu (MM) team, for the second consecutive year on the national podium

For the team Robaș + Bucaciuc, the 2nd place National on Allround Yearlings is the second national trophy in this category. In 2019, the two pigeon fanciers won the 1st National Allround Yearlings, also with a hen, the cousin of the runner-up in 2020. All season, the vice-champion of the tandem ranked 12 races, and the places she occupied at the stages counted for the norm: place 1 / 3,335 pigeons (340 km), place 7 / 3,630 pigeons (272 km), place 9 / 4,173 pigeons (101 km), place 1/431 pigeons (340 km), place 4/512 pigeons (340 km) ) and the place 18 / 1,810 pigeons (572 km). “The vice-champion is the niece of his brother” Mr. Fantastic ”, Daniel’s cock who won the 1st place KBDB Fond in 2017, and cousin with the hen who last year was the 1st National place at Allround Yearlings. As a method of flight we use total widowhood and compete with both cocks and hens. In terms of training, we went on the same methods as before, with intense training around the loft. Time does not allow us to take them to many trainings by car, but we managed to take them, between stages, to two 45 km trainings, from which the pigeons were launched together. For feeding, we used the Vandenabeele and Sport Light mixes from Beyers, but also Gerry, from Versele Laga ”, said Gabriel Robaș.

The first national result for Team F.P.G. (CT), at the first season of competitions with old birds

In 2019, pigeon fanciers Marius Fugaru, Constantin Geacu, Alexandru Păuna, Paul Rusu and Cătălin Călin founded the “Team F.P.G.” loft, competing within the Constanța Association. The youngsters season in 2019 was the first appearance in this formula in the pigeon competitions, season in which they won the 1st county place Short distance Young birds, and in the following year, 2020, they had already reached the national podium, winning the 3rd place National Allround Yearlings. The result was brought by the hen 0167843/2019, which obtained the following rankings: 2 / 1,906 pigeons (748 km), 2 / 1,137 pigeons (370 km), 13 / 3,570 pigeons (164 km), 6 / 1,487 pigeons (320 km ), 3/666 pigeons (370 km) and 11/896 pigeons (748 km). “I formed this team together with my colleagues Constantin Geacu, Alexandru Păuna, Paul Rusu and Cătălin Călin, each with his very well established role. We aim to compete in stages up to 800 km, our loft being built on five main lines of pigeons: Vandenabeele, Van Loon, Vandenheede brothers, Louis Adriansen and Gust Christiaens. In addition to these, we have a few pigeons from Drapa, Schellens and a few other lines. We have 80 breeding pairs, from which we take out 300 young birds, and we keep between 100 and 150 pigeons in the flight group. We competed in widowhood all season. For feeding we used a mixture produced in Romania, similar to the Champion Plus and Turbo mixtures, which the pigeons received in the last days before the races, and at the beginning of the week they received depurative food. For the training with the car We studied the wind very well and, depending on its intensity and direction, we took the pigeons so that they could fly between 55 and 65 minutes. As supplements, we used Rohnfried products and treatments from Belgium. Originally, the hen that took us to the national podium is reproduced from an original Verstraete cock, and the mother is 75% Gust Christiaens and 25% Ludo Claessens. It is a pigeon with a special character. She is very gentle, but at the beginning of the season she did not want to breed. She competed being attached for a spot, from whom she did not part all season. Only after finishing the stages did we manage to make it mate “, Marius Fugaru detailed.
