The team was born in 2019, with the beginning of the stages with the young birds, and in the next two seasons with the old birds it managed to win two Gold awards at national level, one award each season. How simple this seems, but behind these extraordinary results are the good pigeons in the breeding compartment and the mastery of the two pigeon fanciers from Arad.

The winning pigeon of the 2021 Gold Award for the Arad team is the hen with the series 2008683-2020, which took the 2nd place in the National Gold Club, as if to prove that she is stronger and more valuable than her half-sister, the hen with the series 1006133- 2019, winner of the 9th place nationally, in the Gold Club 2020 edition. The wonderful national vice-champion 2008683-2020, nicknamed “Miss Golden” by the owners, has as father the cock with the series 9001282-2017, grandson of the Olympic hen in the Long distance category of the multiple national champion Florin Petrache. Her mother is the hen with the series 425067-2015, from the fancier Crișan Mircea, a good flier and a super breeder in the loft of the two, she is also the mother of the hen winner of the Gold award in 2020 for Arad.

Simple methods, extraordinary results

“Miss Golden” was a widow, the food used being from Beyers, Vanrobaeys and Versele Laga, food of which was mixed and served to the pigeons. In 2020, the team was also on the national podium, occupying the 3rd place in the category of National Ace Old birds with hen with series 9001127-2017, which had won an award at the Gold Club nationwide in 2018 and was competed by one of the members of the team , Sergiu Costea.

It has become a tradition for this team to win Gold awards almost every year, which proves that the Long distance is the favorite category of the two pigeon fanciers. “The Gold competition has always been transparent and fair, especially since the Gold Awards, at least one, go to every pigeon fancier province. The Costea & Tobosec team won the prize of 10,000 lei gross, following an investment of 2,000 lei, because they purchased, in 2020, one hundred gold rings. They made the same investment in 2021 and 2022, their hopes now being in line with the results obtained in previous years.
