The 2021 season highlighted, in the case of the Allround Youngsters category, two very strong teams. The first of these is made up of pigeon fanciers Gabriel Robaș and Daniel Bucaciuc, and the second is made up of fanciers Adrian Adăscăliței and Maricel Iordache. The two teams have in common a national cup won this season in the mentioned category, but, perhaps more important than that, is that in the national top 10 we find them three times, in the conditions in which more than 2,000 were achieved. Along with the four, we also find Liviu Perijoc from Suceava on the national podium. Although a “professional” marathoner, he also manages to win a national cup at Allround Youngsters.
The even more interesting part of this article, beyond the ones mentioned above, is that both the Robaș G. + Bucaciuc D. team and Iordache & Adăscăliței also won other national trophies with the same pigeons. The young hen of the Robaș G. + Bucaciuc D team has four national cups, all with her, and the youngsters competed by the Iordache & Adăscăliței team is on the national podium and in the Middle distance category.
Robaș G. + Bucaciuc D (SM), again champion for Allround category
Starting with the 2021 season, the team Robaș G. + Bucaciuc D competed within the Satu-Mare Pigeon Association. However, the two had a very good season again, managing to win new national cups. Becoming national champions at Allround youngsters, with 7.97 penalty points, the team accumulated a really impressive record in this category. Since 2019, there has not been a season in which the two have not won at least one national cup. As for the new champion team, we can say that they had a season without mistakes. They rank 3rd National in the Speed and Middle distance categories, and in Allround and Speed Ace they are the national champion. Three of the six centralized stages for the allroubn category norm are less than a penalty point, and in the first stage of Budapest (337), it won first place at the launch, against 2,873 pigeons. In these conditions, it is clear that we are talking about the best youngsters of the whole season 2021. “The youngsters were sent by my partner to Romania at the end of February and stayed in the dark until the first week of July. They managed to change the whole plumage on the body, and when they got old, I separated them by sex. There were stages when I left them together before basketing and stages when they didn’t see each other, but I didn’t notice any difference. The food used was the same, a few mixtures of Beyers and Gerry. Originally, the young bird’s father is an original Rudy de Saer pigeon, and the mother is a combination of Fantastisc, the famous pigeon of my partner, with Gino Clicque pigeons. The chick is actually a hen and I think she was very motivated due to a bowl of food that I put in her box “, detailed Gabriel Robaș.
Iordache & Adăscăliței (MH) tandem, on the podium also for Allround youngsters category
Because in 2020 it changed the location from which it competed, the team Iordache & Adăscăliței approached the 2021 season only with young pigeons. But that was not an impediment at all. They managed to win two national cups, at Speed ace yearlings and Allround yearlings, both with the same pigeon, and two other national cups in the young birds championship, also won with the same pigeon. The performer from the young birds championship is the young hen RO-21-1220112, who was penalized at the Allround category with 18.80 points. His best stage was the long distance, where he took second place on the launch (511 km), out of 1,962 pigeons. “When we had to move the loft, most of the pigeons we kept were on the line of the 2015 national champion at Speed old birds and on the line of another very good flyer of ours, which we crossed with different pigeons. The 2021 youngsters have been bred since March 1 and have competed in the wild, without darkness, withoutother tricks. We want our pigeons to compete well for at least two or three years and for this reason we let them grow normally. We had a total batch of 120 young birds and used, during the season, assortments of food from Versele Laga and Vanrobaeys, which we mixed. In any case, the food was mostly light, with only one day of loading. We only do treatments if necessary, that is, only if we see that the pigeons are really sick. We play very hard, in general, without sparing the pigeons. It is our method, which has given very good results so far. We only believe in good pigeons, which need as few things as possible to get results “, said Adrian Adăscăliței.
Liviu Perijoc (SV), on the national podium also for the Allround category
Liviu Perijoc from Suceava also competed in the one-day stage categories in the past, but, quite quickly, he joined the area in which he competes and started to aim only for the marathon. In these categories he became a very good competitor, even winning a few national cups. However, even if it is no longer a goal for him at the moment, he managed to win the 3rd National place in 2021 due to the excellent performance of the hen RO-21-2024310 (19.26 penalty points), whose story is at as beautiful as its performance. “I am friends with Luca, who is in charge of transporting pigeons. We had a discussion one day, and he said that the Long distance races in our area are not so difficult. Then I suggested that we exchange 5 young birds and see how they would do. The young birds I sent him competed quite well, I say, and in the derby stage of the season with the youngsters, they won 6th, 8th and 9th place. At the same time, the youngsters with which I won this trophy, a hen, it is from him, from the 5 young birds he sent me. So, a very successful exchange. I want to tell you that I don’t compete very hard. Playing marathons, I only engage them at a few speed stages, after which I stop them. But, last year, I had a batch of 10 young birds that I competed with the most, and when I saw that this female is coming very well stage by stage, I started to take care of them even more. We also had the misfortune that in the middle of the season we could not go out in Ukraine, having to compete on Poland, and the stages became a bit harder. However, he managed to finish the norm with a very good score even in the last stage, Zarnow 2 (620 km), where he ranked 4th in the county. I must point out that it was a third-generation young bird that didn’t finish moulting either. Originally, her mother is from Bibi Ștefănescu’s pigeons, and her father is a pigeon Ulrich Lemmens “, Liviu Perijoc detailed.
