Bucharest: Stănescu + Dobre and Gabi Ţipeanu, winners of the Mosna short distance race

As you enter the Capital, you realize that everything here is moving at a different speed than in the rest of the country. People have a different rhythm, everything seems to be happening fast-forward. Should the same thing characterize the pigeon fanciers of Bucharest? We don’t know for sure, but we can certainly say that here is one of the strongest areas of the country that cultivates and flies with passion and results as racing pigeons in the first and second categories of distance. Here we meet a lot of national champions in these categories, so many that we would risk forgetting to mention any of them if we tried to list them. An eloquent example of the passion for short distance stages is the flight from Mosna, at the end of last week, when 10,345 pigeons were launched by the 311 pigeon fanciers members of the Bucharest branch.

Gaby Ţipeanu

Around 09:30, the first of the strongest winged athletes start to arrive, and after several of them step on the hatch and the calculations can be made, the first place winner is proclaimed: the cock with the series 0700333-2020, which belongs to the strong team Stănescu + Dobre. In order to prevail, the winning cock, in whose pedigree we find pigeons purchased from the aviaries of Rudi Diels and Leo Heremans, developed a speed of 1,523.84 m / min over a distance of 312.18 aerian kilometers. It is not the first victory of the team this season: in another speed race (Focșani) another valuable cock of the team managed to surpass a number of over 15,000 pigeons, outlining a very successful start to the season for Stănescu + Dobre. In fact, recent references of champion pigeons, which have at least one parent brought from the loft of Stănescu + Dobre, exist in abundance. To refer only to last year, we mention: Traian Nițescu Trophy – Oprisescu Brothers (DJ), 2nd place national Marathon ace, old birds – Iulian Duică (BB), 1st place national Long distance ace, old birds – Țîrvuloiu and Popescu (Gj).

„Mister Bolid“ – Iulian Duica

Returning to Mosna, the 2nd place of the stage is claimed by Gaby Țipeanu with the help of the hen with the series 0680040-2020. Gaby is a strong competitor of the speed stages, which engages a number of 26 pigeons at this stage and manages to rank 20, a very high ranking percentage for such fierce competition. His hen developed a speed of 1,522.61 m / min, having an air distance of 317.46 km, she being the first pigeon to arrive and was nominated for the team. This hen, together with the yearling cock series 0551102-2021 and the hen 0551151-2021, meet Gaby’s team that imposed her on the 1st place in the general ranking of the ascending category of this stage. Gaby has an exceptional fancier for speed races, a cock who is the father of the 2nd place hen in this stage. At the same time, he is the father of four other cocks, who, at an earlier stage, had very good arrivals, thus helping him to get another place 1 in the general rankings in the fancier category. The hen 0680040-2020, is the daughter of “Brabant” (Andre de Click + Leo Heremans), and her mother is the father’s sister with the 1st place in the Allround young birds category of Marian Guță (Pasha). The other two pigeons on the team are also the sons of “Brabant”, proving the value of a very good breeder of this cock.

„Mister Bolid“ – Iulian Duica

To the champion Iulian Duică, the first pigeon to arrive is the cock with the series 0002090-2020, which occupies the 3rd place on the launch in the general ranking of the stage. This cock managed to quickly cross the 316 air kilometers and to develop a speed of 1,520.29 m / min, a speed very close to the other two pigeons that were ranked in front of him. This detail shows how strong the competition is at these stages in the Bucharest group and how difficult, but also pleasant, it is to obtain a leading place in the general ranking. The father of this cock is the cock named “Mister Bolid”, who is half-brother with another great national champion, “Count Drakula”, and her mother is the hen with the series 210211-2019, original Stanescu & Dobre, on the line of Silver Shadow-Van Dick-Leo Heremans.

Team OTV

Team O.T.V

In second place in the general ranking of fanciers rankings at this stage is Team O.T.V., a team of three gentlemen very passionate about this wonderful sport and who engaged a batch of 102 pigeons, ranking 43 of them. The three pigeons that made this performance possible are all yearling hens: the hens with the series 0001325-2021, which ranks 19th in the overall standings, the hen wearing the ring with the series 0001328-2021, she ranks 72nd in the standings and the hen with the series 0001305-2021 which ranks 83rd in the overall standings. The father of the hen who arrived first in the team for Team O.T.V., took the 2nd place at the Dubăsari stage, held on 24.06.2018 out of a number of 5,293 pigeons, the 10th place out of 14,223 pigeons at a stage in Măicănești, from the same year, and 19th place at the Mosna stage, held on 26.05.2019. The father of 0001305-2021 is the 3rd place National Speed Palmares in 2017, and the parents of the hen 0001328-2021 have the origins of the pigeons of Leo Heremans + Louis Van Loon.

Bogdan Stoicescu

Bogdan Stoicescu

Bogdan Stoicescu ranks 3rd in the general ranking of the fanciers category, participating with 36 pigeons and ranking 20 of them. All three of his pigeons, the first to arrive on the team, are hens. The first hen to arrive is yearling and has the series 0568108-2021. Originally, she has Van De Pasch + Lowike + Drapa pigeons behind her, this hen ranks 18th in the competition in the general classification of this stage. The second hen to join the team and the third, hen 0027236-2020 and 0716249-2020, are good sisters. They occupy the 70th place and the 162nd place in the general ranking, respectively, and the origins are the pigeons by Rudi Diels + Gerard Koopman, brought from the loft of the tandem Stănescu + Dobre, a team which after this stage adds some very good references to the list.
