On 27.05.2022, at 6:45, the Long distance races also started in Vrancea and Galați counties, where 199 fanciers basketed a number of 9,070 pigeons ready to take the first exam of the 2022 season at a greater distance than 500 air kilometres. At this stage, two pigeon fanciers, Cristinel Chelaru and Adrian Manta, both from Vrancea County, definitely stood out.

Cristinel Chelaru

Cristinel Chelaru took 1st place on the launch with his hen with the series 2003799-2020, which covered the 552.32 km aerial to the loft with a speed of 1,252.68 m / min, but also ranks 1st in the general fanciers ranking, thus being the detached leader of this race. The hen with the series 2003799-2020 was also nominated for the team, a team in which she was helped by two other pigeons, with very good rankings. The two hens have the series 1005407-2019 and 2003777-2020, and in the general ranking they occupied the 16th and 21st places. The first pigeon that arrived in Cristinel’s loft has a polish father, son of Dakar + Karin, from Wojciech Handerek, and her mother is a hen from Belgian breeder Engels Jules & Karin. The second hen from the team occupied in 2021 the 2nd county place in the Long distance old birds category. The third hen to arrive on the team in 21st place is a semi-sister to the first hen after her father (the same Polish cock), who was paired with a hen from the lines of Pros Roosen.
Adrian Manta also had a big pleasant surprise, occupying the 2nd and 3rd places in the general ranking of the stage with his two hens, the series 0484716-2020 and 0168105-2021, which arrived together with speeds of 1,247.80 and 1,247 , 06 m / min. Adrian’s pigeons had to travel a distance of 595.76 kilometers to get back home.

The hen 0484716-2020 has as father a cock from the loft of Constantin Gaston from Galați, and her mother is a product resulting from a common pairing with Cosmin Apostolescu. The second hen has as father a cock from Nicușor Manea’s aviary in Rîmnicu Sărat, and as mother a hen from the same Constantin Gaston. So, the stage podium in the pigeon category was thus occupied by 3 beautiful and strong hens, belonging to the two pigeon fanciers.
From Galați County, Alexandru Ene manages to win his second place in the general ranking of the fanciers category. Her first pigeon to reach the team is the hen with the series 1104773-2020.
It occupies the 53rd place in the general ranking, and as origins it is from the pigeons of Vasile Brăilescu from Tecuci. The second pigeon to arrive in the team is also a hen, with the series 0340471-2020, which in the general ranking of the stage occupies position 147, this hen being originally from the pigeons of Ionel Purice from Liești. The pigeon with number 3 arrived at the team, this time, is a yearling cock, with the series 0558249-2021, and as origins it is based on the pigeons of Tache Chișcoci from Tecuci.

Alexandru Ene

The joy of these results was all the greater for Alexander as, in 2020, all his pigeons burned in a fire that destroyed his loft. Being a strong man by nature, he did not give up his dream of competing pigeons and, as can be seen, in a short time since the tragic event he is already getting very good results. These results were possible thanks to the support given to him by some of his club colleagues, people with golden souls, who gave Alexandru very good birds so that he could rebuild his breeding loft in the shortest time. And in this way, Alexandru Ene wanted to thank Toma Mandea, Dan Matache, Florin Apostu, Titi Bute, Alexandru Dragomir, Daniel Sârmache and Tudorel Tălmaciu for the help offered.

Țibrea Olimpia from Cârligele, Vrancea county, occupies the 3rd place in the general ranking in the fanciers category. As a paradox, his three pigeons from the team are all hens, at this stage the hens making the law at the top of the standings for all pigeon fanciers on the podium. The first hen to arrive in the team is also the first to arrive in the aviary from this stage, she being the hen with the series 0485755-2020 and occupies the 56th place in the general ranking. The second hen has the series 0465873-2018, she ranks 198th and carries in her veins the blood of the pigeons from the loft of the Sîrghe Brothers from Vrancea. The third female from the team occupies the 245th place in the general classification, has the series 0484094-2020, and is also a bird from the Olaru + Burdușa pigeons.
