– between two and four stages with distances over the limit of 475 kilometers
– at least five stages from the Allround or county ranking will be centralized

Lucian and Mihai Țugui

This year, the national norms of the Allround categories were dominated by the father and son team: Țugui Mihai and Lucian, from Voitinel, Suceava county. The two are the owners of the national champion of the Allround Yearlings category, the cock with the series 1113041-2021, who finished the norm with 2,819 ranked kilometers and 60.62 penalty points. The father of the pigeon, which has the series 798228-2020, was brought from the loft of Constantin Pinzari, and its mother is the hen with the series DV 03055-2020-54 W, from Marius Bulai. “This season we started with a batch of 75 pigeons. The method we used is widowhood, flying both cocks and hens. Pigeon 1113041-2021 is a medium-sized cock, very ambitious, fast, but also steady. This season he won three times first place on the launch”, Mihai Țugui tells us.

Toader and Cristi Sepciuc

The national vice-champion of the Allround Yearlings category, with 98.94 accumulated points and 2,882 ranked kilometers, is the cock with the series 1103809-2021, who belongs to the team Toader and the Sepciuc Family, formed by Cristi Sepciuc’s father and Toader’s son, from the town of Volovăț, Suceava county . “The cock «Blue Prince» is our best yearling this season. He ranks 2nd place National Allround Yearlings, 6th national Middle distance ace Yearlings, 1st provincial Middle distance ace Yearlings and 2nd place provincial Allround Yearlings. Due to the fact that transport cars have to go around Ukraine to reach the launch site in Poland, our pigeons stayed in the car, from basketing to launch, for two days, even at the Middle Distance stages. Practically, in the 12 Middle and Long Distance stages in which he competed, «Blue Prince» was basketed week after week, most of the time on Thursday, and the launch was only on Saturday. His father is a cock from our own loft and his mother is of Rauw-Sablon origin, brought from Premier Stud. This season we competed with a batch of 38 widower cocks, and at the end of the season we remained with 29. The season was quite difficult, because the pigeons, starting with the Middle Distance stages, had to travel two days, from basketing to launch moment. This trophy gives me the necessary strength to continue on this note and is an additional motivation for my father, because during the season he takes care of the training of the flight team”, declared Toader Sepciuc.

Alin Pop

The team Nicu Tot + Pop Alin + Nadia, from the town of Tăuții-Măgherăuș, Maramureș county, is on the third step of the national ranking of the Allround Yearlings category, which consists of Nicu Tot, Alin Pop and his spouse Nadia. The bird that propelled them to the national podium is the hen series 2006807-2021, which ranked a total of 2,864 kilometers and obtained 102.92 penalty points. As origins, she is bred from a cock from Alexandru Cazacu, from his line «012», and her mother is the daughter of two Olympic pigeons from Adrian Cîrciumaru, «082» and «063». “I started the season with 70 pigeons. I practiced the widow from the first to the last stage in the championship. The training of the flight group consisted of training around the loft, both in the morning and in the evening, and once a week they were taken by personal car to a longer distance. In 2020, we were present with the hen series 1475-2019 in the Olympics, she being the 1st place of Romania’s Olympic team in the G category, but this season brought us several national top 10 results such as the 3rd, 4th and 6th places in the category Allround Yearlings and 5th national Middle Distance Yearlings. In the West Province, we dominated the Allround category, obtaining 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in Allround Yearlings category, this being our favorite one. We are a trio where each has a well-defined role, both in the training of the pigeons and in breeding and keeping the birds healthy, things that are essential to us. I believe that these results have successfully crowned the titanic work we have done in the last two years”, Alin Pop revealed to us.

Old birds category, “solved” in the family

The “gold” and “silver” medals of the Allround old birds category are won by the same team from Suceava, Țugui Mihai and Lucian, through two siblings, the hen “Queen 225”, with the series 2009225-2020, which accumulated 49.46 points penalty in the 2,593 ranked kilometers, respectively the cock “Hercule”, with the series 0032599-2020, who became national vice-champion with 76.43 points and 2,825 classified kilometers. “As origins, the pigeons are 100% Ciprian Prelipcean. The father of the two champion brothers is the cock with the series 460040-2018, being the son of the national 1st place Long Distance 2016, named «Suwalky», who was paired with a daughter of the Olympic long distance champion, DV 6575-15-0347 , Gert Wolter. Their mother, the hen with the series 4024005-2018, is a daughter of the 2nd place national Middle distance 2017, named «Apollo», paired with the hen series 601605-2015 – «Blue Pearl», and she is a super flyer. This season we started with a batch of 75 pigeons, but, being an extremely difficult competitive year, at the end of the season 44 pigeons remained in the loft. 80% of the pigeons in our loft are from Ciprian Prelipcean. From the point of view of the results obtained, this season we can say that it was the most successful year since we have been practicing this sport. We won over 90 trophies in different categories, including 5 national trophies”, said Mihai Țugui.

Ciprian Mănescu

The well-known fancier from Prahova, Cosmin Olteanu wins a new national trophy by occupying the 3rd place of the Allround old birds category, thanks to the hen with the series 0020262-2020 which, in the eight stages required to fulfill the norm, obtained 86.09 points and covered 2,804 kilometers. “In terms of parentage, her father is the B-series cocks 6025539-2015, original Marcel Wouters, and the mother is 6269582-2016, original Rudy Van Reeths. The champion has rich and elastic musculature, and the wing is supple and well ventilated. It stood out for its iron will and good and constant arrivals in the rankings. In our group, this season, other birds stood out, who supported the team, bringing us a 4th national place in the Allround Fanciers category. This season, for feeding the pigeons, we used Animi’s assortments, from Istvan Bartos”, explained Ciprian Mănescu, manager of the loft.

The team from Suceava also triumphed at Fanciers category

To make their super-performance complete, the team of Țugui Mihai and Lucian also triumphed in the General Fanciers category, thus achieving a truly historic triple. The pigeons “responsible” for winning the national team trophy were the champion 1113041-2021, of the Allround Yearlings category, the national champion 2009225-2020, from Allround old birds, together with her nest brother – 0032599-2020, the national vice-champion of the Allround old birds category , as well as the hen with the series 0032593-2020, the 4th national place Allround old birds, and the hen with the series 4024006-2018, which occupies the 8th national place in the same category. The last two mentioned hens are based on the same pigeons of Ciprian Prelipcean.

Ioan and Constantin Ionesi

The 2nd national place in the Allround Fanciers category is occupied by the team formed by the brothers Ioan and Constantin Ionesi, from Vicovu de Sus, Suceava county, with a total of 144.77 accumulated points. “Our team was formed almost all season by two sons and four brothers with the 2020 national champion in the Speed Ace Youngsters category. The family of pigeons from which they come is based on birds from the Rudy Van Reet, Van Loon (via Olteanu Cosmin), Janssen and Schellens (Lubomir Kubacek) lines. Our batch of runners this season consisted of 46 pigeons, and our method of flight is the widowhood. We had a very good season, in which we won provincial and also national trophies. The cups are obtained in the season with the old birds, but also with the youngsters. This is the second national trophy we have won and we are very excited about this success”, Constantin Ionesi stated.

The national podium of this category is completed by the pigeon team of the well-known Alexandru Cazacu, from Bucharest, which accumulates a total of 149.74 points.
