National Federation of Pigeon Fanciers of Romania (FNCPR), full member of the International Racing Pigeons Federation (FCI), has decided, since last year, to issue a Certificate of Authentication of sports results for pigeons participating in competitions organized by the Federation. Through this document, FNCPR wants to highlight a clear distinction between the true Romania’s champion pigeons and misleading titles offered to pigeons participating in competitions which are not organised under the aegis of the FCI.
The Certificate of Results Authentication of a pigeon has a unique registration number and carries, besides the signatures of the president of the Federation and of the president of the National Sports Commission, a gold seal containing the Federation logo and name, on the bottom right.
Also, the Certificate mentions the series of the pigeon for which it was released, and its owner.
This document has an annex containing all the prizes in races and the rankings in different categories obtained by the bird in its sporting career, and to secure it, besides the seal mentioned above, a dry stamp applied to the bottom right. Both the Certificate and the Annex are issued in double copy, one in Romanian and the second in English.
It should be noted that such a certificate can be given to any pigeon participating in the competitions organized by the National Federation of Pigeon Fanciers of Romania, regardless of the results obtained by it. „We want to eliminate any kind of confusion regarding the titles of the pigeons, from all over the country. In Romania, the only pigeons that can be National Champions are the pigeons that participate in the competitions organized under the aegis of the National Federation of Pigeon Fanciers in Romania, the only federation affiliated to the International Racing Pigeons Federation (FCI).
The pedigrees of these pigeons will always come together with the Certificate of Results Authentication obtained in the FNCPR National Championship.
This will be the only legal way to certify the titles obtained. Introducing this certificate came from the need to protect the interests of Romanian fanciers and those of foreign fanciers around the world as well, who want to obtain the true champions of Romania.
This certificate guarantees, beyond any doubt, the fact that the pigeon which was awarded has the results and rankings mentioned there, which eliminates any possible fraud attempt by mentioning other results or misleading by not specifying the Federation under the auspices of the respective competitions “, said Marius Tunduc, the president of the National Federation of Pigeon Fanciers of Romania.
