The Allround Palmares category is part of the series of Olympic categories. Therefore, the pigeons in the first three places in the national ranking participate in the Pigeon Olympics or the European Cup. As, fortunately, the 2020 season is also one of the Olympic years, the pigeons that managed to win at the end of last year one of the three national trophies of the Allround Palmares category, will participate in the next edition of the Olympics, an event hosted by our country.
The performers of the Allround Palmares 2020 category are three cocks that we also mentioned in other materials on our website, the reason being that they also won other national trophies besides this one. The national champion is 0245058/2017, competed by Adrian Cîrciumaru from Dolj, from Băilești. In second place is 9003337/2018, competed by Vali Tudor, from Drăgășani, Vâlcea Association, and the third place is occupied by the pigeon with the most national trophies won this season among those on the national podium of the Allround Palmares category, cock 2085284/2018, of the pigeon fancier Marius Floștoiu, from Prahova county.
Cock 0245058/2017, Adrian Cîrciumaru’s sixth Olympic pigeon (DJ)
After in the 2019 season, the cock 0245058/2017, competed by Adrian Cîrciumaru, occupied the 2nd National Allround Old birds, with 10.01 penalty points, after the 2020 season, the same pigeon became national champion of the Allround Palmares category, with a total coefficient of 29.72 points. He thus becomes the sixth “piece” from the “collection” of Olympians of the pigeon fancier Adrian Cîrciumaru, in his turn, one of the best one-day flights pigeon fanciers in Romania. Among his very good rankings with which he fulfilled this norm is a 1st place on the launch of 11,827 pigeons, at a stage of 189 km. Also in the 2020 season, in addition to the Allround Palmares trophy, the cock 0245058/2017 occupies the 2nd place National Short distance Palmares, with a coefficient of 35.10 points. “The cock is a very good flier and is part of the family that gave me the best pigeons in the loft. His mother is a daughter of two of my Olympians, both in the Allround category, and a sister with another Olympic pigeon, and the father is a cock from Nini Enăchescu, son of Achilles. I compete in widowhood, pigeons are allowed to be seen before the stage, but, for example, there were competitions when this cock did not see the hen before basketing and performed just as well. I use the Superstar and Champion Plus mixes from Versele Laga, but I also add corn when I think it is needed. The day before basketing, the pigeons receive an electrolyte, and training between stages takes place on Wednesday or Thursday. The pigeons are launched separately, rotating them, from a 30 km distance”, explained Adrian Cîrciumaru.
Vali Tudor (VL), national vice-champion
With the cock 9003337/2018, Vali Tudor from Vâlcea occupies, among others, the 2nd National Allround Palmares place. The coefficient achieved in this category is 56.14 points, and the same pigeon won two more national trophies in the 2020 season: 3rd place National Allround Old birds and 3rd place National, H Category. Because it is on the national podium and in Category H, also an Olympic norm, Vali Tudor’s cock can be nominated for two distance sections of the Olympics and was named “Double Olympic”. “The cock 9003337/2018, who won this season the 3rd place National Allround, the 2nd place National Allround Palmares and the 3rd place National Category H, is reproduced from the hen 293974/2015, who, at the same time, is the grandmother of Olympic Gold Champion, another very good pigeon of mine last season. She was paired with a cock by Peter Janssen. The pigeons were competed using widowhood all season, separating them after breeding a series of cubs. Apart from these results, the pigeon also helped me a lot in the team, where I won several national cups “, said Vali Tudor.
Marius Floștoiu (PH), six national cups with pigeon 2085284/2018
Six national trophies would represent an important record for an entire career as a pigeon fancier, but Marius Floștoiu from Prahova managed to win six national trophies in one season. They were achieved by the cock 2085284/2018, who occupies the following places in the national ranking: 1 National H Old birds,, 2 National Allround Old birds, 3 National Allround Palmares, 3 National Ace speed old birds, 3 National Middle distance old birds and 3 National Short distance Old birds. In the Allround Palmares category, the norm was achieved with a coefficient of 69.86 penalty points, and one of its best rankings was the 2nd place out of 12,427 pigeons in a 142 km competition. “The cock is a cross of several lines of pigeons for short races, his father being a Louis van Loon pigeon. I competed with the widow, and to motivate him I tried several options. It came best when I left him in the box, where he also had the nest, before the stage or when I put another cock and his hen in his box. I tried in two stages to leave him with the hen before basketing, but he failed in those competitions and I gave up this method. Out of the 12 stages he competed in, he was the first to arrive home at eight of them. During the season, I used food from Versele Laga and Bayers and I trained them two or three times a week from about 90 km ”, said Marius Floștoiu.
Therefore, from the above, it appears that the three pigeons were among the best competitors in the 2020 season, winning a total of 11 national trophies in one-day flight categories.
