The Union of Pigeon Federations in Romania (UFCR) is preparing for the elections. Scheduled for Sunday – September 26, they will decide the team that will lead the fates of pigeon fancier in the coming years. For this reason, in the coming days we will publish a series of articles in which we will present, in turn, all members of the Marius Tunduc team. Naturally, in today’s material we will focus on the candidacies of Marius Tunduc, who aims for a new term as president, and that of Florin Bilan, a name that resonates in the Romanian pigeon sport, who would occupy the position of president of honor of the UFCR.

Marius Tunduc: “I am a team man”
President of the National Federation of Romanian Pigeon Fanciers since 2014, Marius Tunduc has undoubtedly won a place in the history of this noble sport. Extremely passionate about his work, Marius Tunduc has been actively involved in recent years in leading the Romanian pigeon sport at the level expected by most fanciers. “The main reason why I decided to run for a new term is that I really like this part of the organization. Ever since I got into pigeon sport, I have tried to change things for the better. I started with the “Vadul Crişului” Club, then I moved to the Bihor Association. Then, with the help of those who knew me, I joined the UFCR Committee, in 2006, then the FNCPR, where, I think, I did a lot of good things. (…) Not many people are willing to solve problems when they arise. Switching to UFCR is a big challenge. It changes from a legal-accounting point of view, all the existing relations from this moment. It will take work and involvement and I want to tell you that it is a group work, not a personal one. (…) My colleagues, the ones I have formed a team with so far and with whom I will work in the next team, said that they are based on me. And I am a team man! “, Says Marius Tunduc.
One of the objectives of his future term is the impeccable organization of the Pigeon Olympics in Romania next year. “It was a dream of ours, mine and Florin Bilan’s, to bring the Olympics to Romania. It is an extremely complex event, with an extremely large budget and it needs a lot of involvement “, says the current president of FNCPR.
In addition to organizing the Olympics, Marius Tunduc also proposed:
– Organizing at a high level the European Cup in Romania, in January 2023
– Organizing the Champions Gala and the Nationals Gala, so as to become the number 1 events at European level in the coming years
– Organizing high quality National Exhibitions, very attractive for pigeon fanciers in accessible and very beautiful locations
– Complete digitization of pigeon fancier by creating applications usable on mobile or fixed gadgets, by direct interaction with the pigeon fancier, through technology and by making the most of technological innovations
– Transforming pigeon sport into an activity known and appreciated by people who have nothing to do directly with pigeons, attracting fans of pigeon sport
– Promoting Romanian pigeon fancier internationally
– Supporting subsidiaries in their development, both logistics and statutory / legal issues.

Florin Bilan: “I will continue to work for romanian pigeon fancier!”
A name with a lot of weight in the Romanian pigeon fancier entourage, Florin Bilan would occupy the position of honorary president of UFCR, where he says that he will continue to work to bring this sport where it deserves to be. “Through everything I did, I tried to bring my contribution according to my possibilities to the good progress of pigeon fancying in Romania and to its development. The experience gained over the years can be said to recommend me for this position, which, by its nature, is a position where it takes a lot of balance and tact to be an equidistant factor, balance and a good advisor for all . To be honorary president, you must first be a man of honor and a man of your word, and the fact that I have been offered this distinguished position honors and strengthens my conviction that I have been a man of good, a team player and I always put the racing pigeon and the pigeon sport in generally in the first place. From this position, I will continue to work for Romanian pigeon fanciers, I will continue to be the same good advisor to my younger colleagues and I will continue to get involved helping with advice and even more all those who will be interested in the experience of so many years of leadership pigeon fancier “, says Florin Bilan.
Former president of UFCR and, later, of FNCPR, he believes that the current team can successfully write a new page in the history of Romanian pigeon sport. “I am convinced that, together with the team led by Marius Tunduc and my other colleagues from the Board of Directors, we will write together a new page of pigeon history, the development of pigeon fancier will continue, its image in the world will grow and we will have a new mandate successful “, added F.
