The tragedy that all these people in Ukraine are going through has mobilized a lot of people from all over the world, who want to help those who are leaving the country at war or are still on the territory of Ukraine and have they lacked basic things to survive. To all of them will be added the Romanian pigeon fanciers, who, through the leadership of the UFCR, are launching a large humanitarian campaign to gather food and various things essential for survival.
The leadership of the Union of Pigeon Federation in Romania asks all members to come to the aid of the Ukrainian population. Thus, it is desired to organize a large-scale campaign to collect food and various hygiene and medical products, which will then be sent to Ukraine. These include long-lasting foodstuffs, hygiene products, sleeping bags, towels, bed linen, mattresses, food for children under one year old, clothes and medicines. In the next period, a storage space will be identified in the counties close to the Ukrainian border (Botoșani, Suceava, Neamț), where all the products will be collected before being crossed across the border, in Ukraine. At the same time, at the level of the county branches, the general mobilization among the pigeon fanciers will be “called” and the donated things will be collected at the county level, which will finally be transported to the warehouse designated by the Union, and will find a carrier to be sent to Chernivtsi.
Therefore, all Romanian pigeon fanciers, who can contribute, are asked to organize at the local level, and the branch presidents to contact the UFCR management to agree on how to take care of donations at the collection deadline.
