Romanian pigeon fanciers, invited to participate in the FCI World Championship and FCI European Championship

As every year, in Mira, the International Pigeon Federation organizes the four most important pigeon competitions in the world: FCI World Championship, FCI World Youth (for fanciers aged 14 to 25), FCI European Championship and FCI European Championship Youth (for fanciers aged between 14 and 25). As every year, Romania wants to participate in these competitions with the most valuable possible team in order to maintain the series of exceptional results obtained by Romanian pigeon fanciers in previous years.

This year, FCI has slightly changed the coordinates of these competitions, in the sense that there will be four batches of pigeons, one for each section. Thus, the FCI World Championship is separated from the FCI European Championship and the country groups will be formed as follows: the FCI World Championship group consists of 30 pigeons and the FCI World Youth group of 15 pigeons, and the FCI European Championship group consists of 30 pigeons and FCI European Youth of 15 pigeons. Basically, the pigeons registered in the FCI World Championship are separated from those in the European FCI Championship. Given this, for example, if a breeder sends 4 pigeons and scores 2 in the FCI World Championship and 2 in the FCI European Championship, he can win 2 trophies.
For each participating pigeon registered and accepted in the group that Romania will form, the fancier will have to pay a fee of 30 euros to the UFCR, money that will be transferred to the organizers, respectively the pigeon field from Mira. From its own funds, as every year, the UFCR will bear the cost of transporting the pigeons to Portugal, to Mira. The young birds will be collected between 01.04 – 27.04.2022.
