Federation Colombophile Internationale (FCI) has decided, as a result of the disruption of racing pigeon activity by the COVID-19 pandemic in several countries, to postpone the Racing Pigeons Olympiad 2020 until January 2022.

The National Federation of Pigeon Fanciers in Romania (FNCPR), as the organizer of the next Racing Pigeons Olympiad, was notified by the management of the Federation Colombophile Internationale about the postponement of the Olympiad 2020. The event, which was to take place in January 2021, was postponed until January 2022, the main reason being the destabilization of racing pigeon competitions in most countries by the pandemic caused by the New Coronavirus. It is very important to remember that in order to achieve the Olympic norms, the 2019 and 2021 seasons will be taken into account, except for the 2020 season. However, our country retains its quality of organizer, and the details will be sent in the near future.
