The Union of Pigeon Federations in Romania is preparing for the elections. Originally scheduled for Sunday – September 26, the vote that will decide the team that will lead the fates of pigeon fanciers in the coming years will take place on October 17, the process will take place online. In the last days, we presented to you, in a series of articles, the candidates from the Marius Tunduc team who entered the race, a series that we will end now with the last two names left on the list: Adrian Schipor and Daniel Pop.
Nationals Gala, a reference event for pigeon fanciers
President of the Suceava County Association, Adrian Arcadie Schipor (foto) is running in these elections for a position in the Board of Directors of UFCR – responsible for the National Gala. In recent years it has become increasingly clear that the National Stages, now transformed into a true brand of the Federation, have become too large for their winners not to be properly awarded in a separate gala. “My candidacy for the position of head of the National Gala is motivated by the fact that, after my involvement in the Suceava County Association as president, the association has developed a lot, and I think it’s time to get actively involved in UFCR- and give me all my experience and strength in the smooth running of things. I will support the development of pigeon sport and, together with my other colleagues, we will make these events of the National Galas moments in which to relax and really enjoy what unites us all, the passion for racing pigeons “, we said Adrian Schipor. He added that he wants the National Gala to take place on weekends other than the Champions Gala, in order to eliminate the stress and fatigue of organizing them on consecutive days.
“We need more referees”
The future structure within UFCR, the Commission of Standard, would be headed by Daniel Vasile Pop, currently vice-president of FNCPR – head of the National Corps of Arbitrators. With over eight years of experience in the federation, Daniel Pop, former president of the Cluj County Pigeon Association, will be actively involved in increasing the number of club and county referees, especially in the provinces with a deficit in this regard. “My project for the next three years envisages an extension of the activities started in previous mandates. I am referring here to the organization of courses and the examination of colleagues who passed the exams in Bistrița and Alba-Iulia, in order to obtain the quality of national referee. In addition, I want to organize arbitration courses to obtain the quality of club and county referee in the deficient provinces in this regard. At the same time, I will make every effort with the FCI Standard Commission to obtain an arbitration course within the Olympics for colleagues who obtained the promotion of the first exam in Bucharest, in order to obtain the quality of international referees. These activities aim to increase the number of referees, in order to expand the selection base necessary to participate in national and international exhibitions “, said Daniel Pop, who says that one of its objectives is for Romania to be represented at the highest level within the international profile events.
