The auction for genealogical rings for 2022 has ended, and the representatives of the Union of Pigeon Federation in Romania have decided, this time as well, to redirect the resulting amount for charity purpose.

For the 2022 rings printed with the first series, interested pigeon fanciers could bid on the official website of the UFCR, a procedure that takes place every year. After the auction, the amount of 23,630 lei resulted. George Tatomir’s family, UFCR member, , went through difficult times due to a medical condition developed by his daughter, so the UFCR management decided that the entire amount obtained will be donated to the Tatomir family. The charitable approach was joined by the companies Versele Laga and Grandy, which offered a total of 2000 lei. UFCR also contributed with the necessary difference for the Tatomir family to take possession of 26,000 lei, an amount that represents a substantial aid.
